Betwixt is an installation that explores binary oppositions, where elements in the gallery shift between contrasting states in response to the viewer’s presence. Intangible substances suggest imagined transformations, while physical materials undergo visible change. The work subtly references the classical elements—earth, air, fire, and water—through playful, household-like experiments and curious spectacles. This dynamic interplay creates a liminal space, positioning the observer as the quintessence—the unresolved center of opposing forces.
